This week’s auction item is a Ruger-made Marlin Dark Series Model 1895. Ruger’s records reflect this rifle was roll marked on August 2, 2023. It was a Sales & Marketing photography sample, was never sold, and has not been fired beyond normal factory test firing. The Dark Series Model 1895, chambered in 45-70 Govt, was launched in October 2023. This model sports a strong, nylon-reinforced polymer stock with M-LOK attachment slots, flush cup sockets for QD sling swivels, an included cheek riser for an optimum sight picture when using an optic, and a generous recoil pad. Major components feature enhanced durability due to the Graphite Black Cerakote finish. This alloy steel rifle is equipped with a 16.17” cold hammer-forged alloy steel barrel with standard six-groove rifling and a 1:20” twist rate. The Dark Series Model 1895 is equipped with a tubular magazine that reliably feeds 5 rounds of 45-70 Govt factory ammunition. The rifle is equipped with a receiver-mounted Picatinny rail, an adjustable ghost ring rear sight and a fiber optic and tritium front sight. The rifle will ship in its original rifle box along with the original instruction manual and marketing materials, hammer spur, and locking device. The rifle is being sold “as is.” The purchaser assumes all liability for its safe and proper ownership, storage, use, and resale. It is a part of the Ruger factory collection in Southport, Connecticut and a Certificate of Authenticity will be mailed to the winner of the auction. The acquisition, ownership, possession and use of firearms are heavily regulated. Some models may not be legally available in your state or locale. Whatever your purpose for lawfully acquiring a firearm – know the law, get trained and shoot safely.
