Our latest auction item is a New Model Super Blackhawk 44 Magnum revolver. This model Super Blackhawk (KS-458N) first appeared in the Ruger 1993 Firearms Catalog. Unlike the original and current versions of this model, this revolver features a fluted cylinder and black laminate grip panels. Ruger’s records reflect this revolver was roll marked September 3, 1996 and has never been sold or fired beyond normal test firing during manufacture. This New Model Super Blackhawk revolver features a wide serrated hammer spur; steel grip frame; satin stainless finish; and 4-5/8” barrel. The revolver sports a traditional western-style, hand-filling grip with black laminate grip panels and silver-colored Ruger eagle “SR” logo medallions inserted in the panels. Other features include a 6-round capacity 44 Magnum fluted cylinder that also accepts 44 Special cartridges; a rear sight click-adjustable for windage or elevation, and a ramp front sight. The revolver has been stored in a brown-hinged cardboard box along with an appropriate instruction manual and locking device. The revolver is being sold “as is.” The purchaser assumes all liability for its safe and proper ownership, storage, use, and resale. The revolver is a part of the Ruger factory collection in Southport, Connecticut, and a Certificate of Authenticity will be mailed to the winner of the auction. The acquisition, ownership, possession and use of firearms are heavily regulated. Some models may not be legally available in your state or locale. Whatever your purpose for lawfully acquiring a firearm – know the law, get trained and shoot safely.
