Matching and Total Impact
This year was the Foundation’s most successful Giving Tuesday to date! Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving that occurs each year following the shopping holidays Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Social media drives the event, and with this ability to easily share content, youth shooting programs can ask their community for support and significantly impact their endowment in just one day! Our goal was to raise $200,000 for youth shooting sports, and we are proud to announce that we raised $275,749! To get to that number, we processed 544 transactions on November 29th, with the average donation amount being about $500. We offered $200,000 in matching funds on Giving Tuesday to help us accomplish our goal. Every youth shooting team and organization that received a donation on Giving Tuesday will receive a portion of those matching dollars. The matching ratio came out to $0.72 per dollar. If your youth shooting program received a $100 donation, we added an additional $72 for a total endowment contribution of $172! 285 youth shooting programs participated in this fundraising event.
For this fundraiser, we offered $200,000 in matching and $20,000 in team incentive dollars. That means, with the help of the shooting community ($275,749 in donations), we added a grand total of $495,749 to youth shooting sports endowments! These funds will increase each shooting program’s annual cash grant, which sets their future shooting seasons up for success. A special thank you to all the donors for their generosity during this annual event; together, we are truly changing the future of youth shooting sports!
Team Incentive
Youth shooting teams that participated in Giving Tuesday qualified for the team incentive. The incentive rewarded both top teams and participating teams. The five teams that generated the most donation dollars received endowment funds based on their placement; see the winners below. Additionally, we drew 10 teams at random to win $500 each; see those winners in the graphic on the right.
