August donations to shooting teams have been matched! We are very excited to announce that the match ratio was $0.91 per dollar. This match benefits 223 youth shooting teams. Shooting teams in our program that received a donation in August benefited from these matching funds. That means if your shooting team received a $50 donation, our Matching Program added an additional $45.50, which amounts to a $95.50 total contribution to your team’s endowment. Participating in the Matching Program is one of the fastest and easiest ways to grow your team endowment. Thanks to Larry and Brenda Potterfield every donation is matched! They fund our entire Matching Program and cover the Foundation’s operating expenses. So, 100% of every donation benefits the shooting team of the donor’s choice.
Increasing your endowment balance results in a larger annual cash grant. A great new method shooting teams can use to grow their endowment is our fundraising resource Peer to Peer. Peer to Peer is a type of crowdfunding that allows all members of your shooting team to create their own fundraising page. Members then share those pages with their community and the efforts benefit their MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowment.
