September donations to shooting teams have been matched! We are very excited to announce that the match ratio was $0.97 per dollar. This match benefits 193 youth shooting teams. Shooting teams in our program that received a donation in September benefited from these matching funds. This means that if your shooting team received a $50 donation, our Matching Program added an additional $48.50, which amounts to a $98.50 contribution to your team’s endowment. Participating in the Matching Program is one of the fastest and easiest ways to grow your team’s endowment. Thanks to Larry and Brenda Potterfield, every donation is matched! They fund our entire Matching Program and cover the Foundation’s operating expenses. So, 100% of every donation benefits the shooting team of the donor’s choice.
Donors can give directly to teams through our website. Once complete, our staff sends all donors a tax-deductible receipt. Increasing your endowment is important because it allows you to increase the payout of your annual cash grant. An excellent method to increase your cash grant payout is to participate in our October Online Donation Drive. The donation drive will be rewarding top teams and drawing 15 teams at random to receive $1,000 towards their team endowment account.
Remember, the current grant cycle’s deadline is December 15th; however, you don’t need to wait to submit a grant application. Applications have rolled in every day since September 15th when the cycle opened, and we’re looking forward to seeing yours!
