This week’s auction item is a Ruger SP101 revolver in .357 Magnum caliber. Ruger’s records reflect this revolver was roll marked April 16, 2013. The revolver was sold in December 2013 and returned to the factory in Newport, NH. There were no notes as to why it was returned. It was then sent to the Sales Department in Connecticut as a Sales Sample. This model SP101 double-action revolver is made of stainless steel, has a 5-round capacity cylinder, and a 2.25-inch barrel. This sales sample model features a green Cerakote finish on the cylinder frame and cylinder, and a cushioned rubber grip with engraved wood inserts. Other features include a pinned, replaceable black ramp front sight and integral rear sight. The revolver has been stored in its original gray plastic handgun case along with an original instruction manual, marketing materials, and locking device. The revolver is being sold “as is.” The purchaser assumes all liability for its safe and proper ownership, storage, use, and resale. The revolver is a part of the Ruger factory collection in Southport, Connecticut, and a Certificate of Authenticity will be mailed to the winner of the auction. The acquisition, ownership, possession and use of firearms are heavily regulated. Some models may not be legally available in your state or locale. Whatever your purpose for lawfully acquiring a firearm – know the law, get trained and shoot safely.
