We are on pace to pay over $8 million in cash grants to youth shooting teams and organizations this year! Our board of directors has recently approved cash grants for 547 youth shooting teams, and $2,425,724 will soon be on its way to teams across the country! These grants will provide funds for these teams to cover vital expenses such as travel, targets, entry fees, ammunition, and more. Roughly 26,700 athletes will be impacted by these funds by allowing these youth shooters to focus on shooting and not stress about their various shooting expenses. Making the sport more affordable allows more athletes to participate, which means more of our youth can learn the valuable life skills that shooting sports offers, responsibility, teamwork, discipline, etc.
With the endowment, it has helped keep costs down and participation up! It also provides opportunities for these young shooters to get involved in an activity that they might not be able to afford and learn the proper way to safely handle a firearm. Because of the emphasis on gun safety, our shooters are able to pass hunter safety courses with ease and our students are able to learn skills that they can use as they grow older.

If your youth shooting team didn’t get a chance to apply for their annual cash grant in our June Cycle, that’s all right. Our December Grant Cycle is right around the corner; mark your calendar for October 15th! Read more about our grant programs at midwayusafoundation.org/grants.
