Move over 2020, 2021 is here!
A new year brings more opportunities for youth shooting teams with a MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowment. Throughout 2020 we provided $150,000 each month to match team donations. In 2021, we plan to offer $160,000, each month, to match donations to team endowments! And, just like last year, the months of April and September will have increased matching ($200,000) in coordination with Online Donation Drives. Online Donation Drives will also offer additional endowment dollars to shooting teams that participate. Watch for more details in the coming months. We hope that these extra incentives will encourage the shooting community to support their favorite shooting team. Once again, every shooting team that receives a gift or contributes to their MidwayUSA Foundation Team Endowment will earn a match in 2021. The ratio of that match will vary based on the total contribution dollars received for team endowments in that month. 2020 posed many challenges to shooting teams from fundraising to competing; however our team endowments still received over $2.2 million in contributions last year, and we are confident they will surpass that in 2021.
A Matching Program won’t always be guaranteed, so every shooting team should take advantage of this generous opportunity provided by Larry and Brenda Potterfield. The program is proof that their family is committed to the mission of the MidwayUSA Foundation and ensuring both the youth of today and tomorrow have the chance to be part of a shooting team. As a reminder, every team that has an endowment with us can receive online donations right through our website.
